Only two more days until Criterion’s release of BEING JOHN MALKOVICH! I can’t believe it is finally happening! Hooray! Hello Spike Jonze/Charlie Kaufman week!

Love it or hate it, director’s cut or the Tangerine Dream scored U.S. version, Ridley Scott’s unforgettable (or forgettable) fantasy film LEGEND was released over 26 years ago this month… holy shit, Tom Cruise is old. A Criterion edition is something I know deep within my heart will never, ever, happen (and the Universal Blu-ray is wonderful). So I’ve created one anyway… because I want one. Gotta keep chasing that unicorn (or not touching it in this case).

Proof that Criterion IS the best company in existence. An elaborate KINDERGARTEN COP April fools joke, and a legitimate hint toward the future release of ROSEMARY’S BABY. Thanks for making my Sunday Criterion!

Holy shit… he’s back!

Surprisingly, a Google Images search reveals not a single fake Criterion for Robert Altman’s masterpiece McCABE & MRS. MILLER, so I made one. This and SORCERER are two of the most criminally underrepresented home video releases. Criterion, Blu-ray, make it happen.

Yes, yes, yes!

the last 25 seconds of this may be the best thing ever. And I haven’t even seen it with sound.
